Jasminum humile 'Revolutum'
jasmine
This climber is semi-evergreen, so it can lose some of its leaves in winter. In colder regions or more exposed gardens, it may lose them all, but then fresh new foliage appears again in spring.
- Position: full sun or partial shade
- Soil: fertile, well-drained soil
- Rate of growth: average
- Flowering period: May to June
- Hardiness: frost hardy (may need winter protection)
Larger than average bright yellow flowers appear in loose clusters in late spring and early summer on this bushy, semi-evergreen wall shrub. It makes a wonderful free-standing specimen at the back of the shrub border, or you can tie the arching branches flat against a wall to create a decorative wall shrub. - Garden care: Prune back after flowering to strong buds or young lower branches. On older plants, cut back about a quarter of the old shoots to the base.
