These wool pads are made in Staffordshire from 100% British sheep’s wool. They’re naturally slug and snail repellent and excellent for organic pest control.
Laid on top of soil around your plants, they’ll deter pests, suppress weeds, insulate roots and retain moisture. You can also tear them up and make rings to wrap around the base of individual plants. As the wool breaks down over time, it will add nutrients to the soil.
Each pad measures 27cm x 66cm. This pouch contains five pads, so they’ll cover a surface area of roughly 0.9 square metres.
Besides pest control and mulching, you may find the pads useful for lining containers and baskets, insulating pots over winter, digging into soil to add nutrients, as growing mats for microgreens, or leaving out for wildlife to use as nesting material.
