  • Soil: tolerates most soil conditions
  • Rate of growth: average
  • Flowering period: May
  • Hardiness: fully hardy

An upright tree with deeply cut, dark green pinnate leaves which have a lace-like appearance. The bunches of white flowers are produced in late spring followed by orange-red berries in autumn. This is an unusual variety that only grows to an eventual height of 6m (19ft 6in) so is ideal for a small garden.

  • Garden care: Requires minimal pruning. Remove any broken, diseased or crossing branches in late autumn or winter. When planting incorporate lots of well-rotted garden compost in the planting hole and stake firmly.
  • Humans/Pets: Fruit are ornamental - not to be eaten
