'Stella Champagne' brings graceful elegance to winter gardens with its delicate mix of pastel blossoms that unfurl to display charming bell-shaped flowers in soft hues of pink, cream, and yellow atop slender stems. A winter hardy cultivar, this bubbly perennial bedding plant flowers early from late winter into spring, providing a refreshing fizz of colour that can hold its own without a companion. Its versatility allows this primrose to shine in dappled shade paired with hellebores or planted in patio pots.
Plant out in a partially shaded and sheltered position, adding plenty of leaf mould and compost to the planting hole and backfill. Water well until established. Divide large clumps in late spring or early summer after the plant has flowered, preferably during a wet spell.
