This perennial is semi-evergreen so it can lose some of its leaves in winter. In colder regions or more exposed gardens, it may lose them all, but then fresh new growth appears again in spring.

Blooming in early summer on sturdy upright stems, and ideal for pond edge planting, this fast-growing iris creates dense clumps of sword-like upright foliage, serving as excellent cover for wildlife. Iris pseudacorus 'Flore Pleno' represents the double-flowered iteration of the native yellow flag, featuring larger, multi-petalled flowers that enhance its visual charm.
These plants are potted up (using a suitable aquatic compost) into aquatic pots. These pots are made of a fine mesh, which allows water to circulate through the compost, providing the plants with both oxygen and nutrients. If you are using them as a aquatic plant, they can be placed straight into the pond, however they will preform better if planted out sooner rather than later. To enhance flowering divide congested clumps every three to five years.
