This perennial is semi-evergreen so it can lose some of its leaves in winter. In colder regions or more exposed gardens, it may lose them all, but then fresh new growth appears again in spring.

The heart-shaped foliage of this low-growing perennial, is virtually smothered in pink, star-shaped flowers over a long period from mid-spring. Providing fast-growing groundcover, it's ideal for filling gaps at the front of the border - or for adding a bright splash of colour to the patio. It is sent out in bud or flower, so it's ready to shine after being planted out.

Protect the foliage from slug damage using environmentally friendly slug pellets or beer traps. During the growing season water freely. Cut back after flowering.
