The sight of yellow daffodils in spring cannot fail to lift the spirits. The ones we have included in this collection are compact in habit, so are ideal for pots, containers or window boxes, but can also be used for naturalising in bold drifts in the lawn or border. All of these daffodils have been awarded the AGM by the Royal Horticultural Society, which is bestowed upon plants that are proven to be outstanding performers.

All the varieties below flower best in full sun in fertile, well-drained soil that remains moist during winter and spring.

In each collection you will receive 10 bulbs of each of these varieties:

    Narcissus 'Hawera'
Each bulb produces several stems in April and May, all of which are topped with up to 5 flowers. These open in succession and have an attractive windswept appearance. Grows to 18cm.

    Narcissus 'Tête-à-tête'
One of the most popular miniature daffodils, from late February it will produce between one and three, slightly nodding, golden yellow flowers per stem. Perfect for pots. Grows to 22cm.

    Narcissus 'Sun Disc'
Slender foliage and round, flat-faced flowers, which appear in mid-April, give this jonquil a dainty appearance. A fast grower, it will quickly form a good-sized clump. Grows to 18cm.

    Narcissus 'Sabrosa'
The compact habit of this miniature daffodil makes it perfect for underplanting the seasonal display in pots and windowboxes, but it will also look great when used to line (or fill gaps in) the front of the border. The flowers are scented, so will also make an excellent addition to a posy. Grows up to 10cm tall.

    Narcissus 'Jetfire'
A sturdy daffodil with distinctive flowers that have dramatically swept back golden yellow petals surrounding a bright orange trumpet. A delight in March and April. Grows to 20cm.

    Narcissus 'Minnow'
Clusters of up to five pale yellow flowers, which fade to a soft cream as they mature, appear on each stem in April. They are easily established beneath deciduous trees or shrubs. Grows to 20cm.
