This combination is a ready-to-plant herb garden in a bowl. Perfect for a sunny site near an eating/seating area so you can tear off fresh leaves to add to drinks, salads and marinades. Choose our shallow 32cm terracotta bowl planter, deep 34cm plant bowl or 35cm straight-sided herb bowl, and we’ll send it with 9cm pots of each of the following to fill it:
Salvia officinalis 'Purpurascens' (purple sage)An attractive, upright perennial with aromatic, grey-green foliage, initially flushed with a reddish-purple as it emerges. From early summer the branching stems are topped with spires of lilac-blue, two-lipped flowers, which are loved by bees. The leaves are high in vitamins A and C and can be used to make stuffings, as well as enhance the flavour of many meat and fish dishes. Freshly chopped leaves can also be used to make herb tea and sage butter.

Basil 'D-fenceil'A 'Genovese' basil with all the typical pesto-popping flavour you want, plus it's resistant to downy mildew. Compact in growth and habit so perfect for pots. Keep well-watered for a plentiful supply, pinching out any flowering shoots to prevent ‘D-fenceil’ from bolting and going to seed.

Petroselinum crispum (curled parsley)A very versatile herb, it can be used to freshen the breath, add flavour to foods - or simply act as a garnish. The tightly crimped leaves have a rich flavour, but it is also one of the most decorative herbs in the garden. It's very reliable and a perfect choice for pots.
