Rustic iron candle lantern
This handcrafted rustic iron lantern is made for outdoor use, but would also work beautifully as an accent piece indoors. The cage design allows light to softly diffuse through the bars when a wax or LED pillar candle is lit inside.
Each one starts life as a flat sheet of metal, precisely cut to the specific design, which is carefully heated and shaped by hand. The parts are welded together and the rust finish applied, again by hand, to give each one a uniquely characterful look.
The lantern is powder coated to create a tougher finish than conventional paint, but if hung outside the metal will oxidise a little more with exposure to the elements. Do be careful when touching it as the rust may transfer to hands, clothing, etc.
Warning: the lantern will get hot in use; keep out of reach of children and wait until fully cooled before handling. Never leave a lit candle unattended.
