DeWit onion hoe - long handle

Product Image
This is basically DeWit’s swan neck hoe but a bit slinkier. The blade is about two thirds the size so it can slide through smaller gaps, and it has a shorter handle so it’s a bit lighter and easier to use.

The curved neck means the blade will slip beneath the soil when you draw it back, slicing through unwanted roots. A great one for weeding between vegetable rows and right to the edges of beds and borders.

Built to last from sharpened hand-forged steel with an oiled ash handle. As the handle will naturally shrink over time, a locking nut fixes the head in place, letting you simply re-tighten it to keep the tool solid and strong for a lifetime.

Key features:

  • Cuts and cultivates below the soil's surface
  • Strong and durable carbon steel
  • Lifetime guarantee

Measurements:

Head W10cm x L3.5cm
Total length 141cm

About DeWit tools

The Dutch are renowned for making the world’s finest garden tools, and DeWit is one of the most respected names. Founded in 1898, the family-owned toolmaker combines old-fashioned quality and craftsmanship with innovative design to create superior tools that last a lifetime.

Every tool is hand-forged in the Netherlands from tough boron steel - shaped, sharpened and burnished for durability, giving it the same blackened patina as traditional Edwardian tools. Each is fitted with a responsibly sourced solid ash handle for ultimate strength and shock resistance, oiled to provide first-class protection against the elements.

All DeWit tools come with a lifetime guarantee against manufacturing defects, making them a truly once in a lifetime purchase.
