The slender green foliage of this flowering indoor plant forms in gently splaying rosettes, and these are accompanied (usually from spring to autumn), by spectacular spear-like heads of bright red bracts. An eye-catching and easy to grow house plant, it could also be moved out onto a patio or balcony during the summer months.

How to care for Vriesea Astrid:
These plants like a constant warm temperature (minimum of 15°C/59°F). As they feed through the leaves, mist the leaves regularly throughout the summer. Most importantly don't overwater, let the soil dry out between watering.
