This perennial dies back to below ground level each year in autumn, then fresh new growth appears again in spring.

- Soil: moderately fertile, moist, well-drained soil
- Rate of growth: average to fast
- Flowering period: June to September
- Hardiness: borderline hardy (will need protection in winter)
A mid purple summer stalwart with tones of lilac and lavender make this superb, free-flowering verbena one to try out combined with pale pink, regal red or burgundy. 'Enchantment Purple' has serrated foliage and is a wonderfully vibrant, wildlife friendly container and hanging basket 'bedding plant’, where it will trail happily in large pools of richly robed ground cover. - Garden care: Protect from hard frosts, and dead-head regularly throughout the summer. Keep well watered apply a liquid feed every fortnight to promote healthy growth.
