Trifoliate blue-green leaves covered in soft hairs, offer a beautiful contrast for the conical clusters of magenta-red flowers, which open from silvery buds in summer. Attractive to beneficial insects including butterflies and bees, it is wonderful in naturalised planting styles.

How to care for Trifolium rubens:

T. rubens prefers to grow in moist, but well-drained soil with a neutral pH in a sunny soil. Cut back spent blooms after flowering to encourage a second flush.
