Flat heads of carmine pink flowers in mid and late summer and sharply toothed, dark green leaves, often with creamy-white margins. The foliage of this deciduous shrub is an attractive bronze-red when young. Ideal for a sunny, well-drained site, it makes an excellent specimen plant or colourful, informal flowering hedge.

How to care for Spiraea japonica Anthony Waterer:
