Lashings of soft pink blooms, each with a fine white trim around the petals edge, appear in late spring and early summer. For most azaleas, that would be the end of the display, but this new, repeat-flowering form will then go on to produce a second (less prolific) flush of flowers that can open intermittently from midsummer to early autumn. Its long flowering season and lustrous green foliage make it a fine addition to pots or borders.

This shrub is semi-evergreen, so it can lose some of its leaves in winter. In colder regions or more exposed gardens, it may lose them all, but then fresh new foliage appears again in spring.
