Rhododendron (Aronense Group) 'Hisako'
evergreen azalea (syn. Geisha White)
A compact evergreen shrub producing spectacular clusters of funnel-like white flowers covering the entire bush in May and June. ‘Hisako’ also has attractive, small, elliptic, dark green leaves which are bright green when young. A great option for early season white gardens as well as moist, acid conditions with a little shelter from drying winds.
How to care for Rhododendron (Aronense Group) Hisako:
Avoid planting too deeply. Apply a generous 5-7cm (2-3in) mulch of leaf mould around the base of the plant each spring. Do not allow to dry out. Protect from strong winter winds.

This shrub is semi-evergreen, so it can lose some of its leaves in winter. In colder regions or more exposed gardens, it may lose them all, but then fresh new foliage appears again in spring.
