Known for its narrow, rigid leaves that are dark bronze with a lighter midrib, this bold lancewood thrives in full sun to semi-shaded positions and well-draining, lime-poor soil. Pseudopanax 'Bronze Eagle' is perfect for sheltered borders or contemporary containers, offering an exotic look with minimal maintenance once established. Does well in coastal areas.

In mild climates, it can be grown outdoors, but in cooler regions, frost protection is advised. The plant also produces small, Fatsia or ivy-like flowers followed by glossy black berries, attracting birds. This evergreen shrub is low-maintenance, requiring only occasional pruning and careful checks to prevent over-watering.

How to care for Pseudopanax 'Bronze Eagle':

Plant in a warm protected spot near a wall, or sheltered by other trees from cold drying winds, strong sun and frosts. Requires minimal pruning. Remove any broken, diseased or crossing branches in late autumn or winter. When planting, incorporate planting, incorporate plenty of well-rotted garden compost in the backfill and planting hole.
