Short, dense, plume-like branches of aromatic, steely-blue leaves and ovoid, dark blue cones. This creeping juniper is an excellent ground cover plant for a well-drained shrub or mixed border. Perfect for softening the edges of paths and driveways, the handsome, steely-blue foliage takes on purple tints in winter.
How to care for Juniperus communis Green Carpet:
Apply a generous layer of mulch around the base of the plant (avoiding the immediate crown) in late winter. Pruning is not usually necessary, however any shoots that ruin the symmetry of the plant can be removed in autumn.
