Spreading stems are clothed in bronze-flushed yellow foliage, which holds its colour well throughout the year. Ideal to use as a specimen plant, 'Old Gold' will form an impressive, flat-topped shrub that looks great when planted with rounded and more upright conifers.
How to care for Juniperus × pfitzeriana Old Gold:
Plant Juniperus × pfitzeriana 'Old Gold' in well-drained soil in a sunny spot, providing ample space for its spreading habit. Apply a generous layer of mulch around the base of the plant (avoiding the immediate crown) in late winter. Pruning is not usually necessary, however any shoots that ruin the symmetry of the plant can be removed in autumn.
