Hemerocallis 'Canadian Border Patrol'

daylily

Product Image
Lightly ruffled, apricot-yellow flowers, which are accented by their contrasting raspberry red markings, appear in abundance in midsummer. Rewarding and easy to grow perennials, day lilies form attractive clumps of strap-shaped foliage, which is ideal for adding textural interest in mixed planting schemes. 'Canadian Border Patrol' will look wonderful when partnered with pale yellow Achilleas, or perhaps a red-flowering Weigela.

How to care for Hemerocallis Canadian Border Patrol:

Plant crowns at 60cm intervals in a sunny spot, making sure that their roots are firmed in, but their crowns are above soil level - then water well. Apply a generous 5-7cm deep mulch of well-rotted garden compost or manure around the base of the plant (avoiding the immediate crown), and once the plant has started to bloom, deadhead faded flowers regularly to encourage more to form. Lift and divide every three years in spring.
