silver leaf (Syn. Jacobaea maritima 'Silver Dust') (Senecio)

Product Image
Cineraria ‘Silver Dust’ is a tender shrub with slightly lobed leaves, becoming deeply cut and lighter in colour as the season progresses.

Usually grown as an annual, this superb, silvery grey foliage plant is highly versatile and can be used to great effect, planted as a group lining the front of a border or offering excellent contrast to other summer bedding plants in pots and containers.

How to care for cineraria Silver Dust:

When planting in beds and borders, mix some well-rotted organic matter with the excavated soil and firm around the plant. Choose a loam-based compost if growing in pots or containers.

Water regularly but allow the soil to dry waterings to prevent root rot. Fertilise lightly in the growing season. Prune throughout the season with a balanced liquid feed.
