A carpeting, low-growing evergreen perennial, the mountain sandwort has delicate, pure white flowers that smother a green cushion of lance-shaped leaves between May and June. Used to great effect when massed together for planting green walls and roofs, 'Snow White' is a shallow rooting, award-winning plant, that's also perfect for rockeries and containers.
How to care for Arenaria montana Snow White:
Mountain sandwort prefers free draining soil in full sun and does not perform well in excessively wet conditions in winter. Cut back after flowering to maintain compact form - and feed with liquid seaweed fertiliser every month throughout the summer months.
