A new compact, bushy form of this spectacular deciduous shrub. This exciting introduction has masses of panicles of white flowers with pretty crinkled crepe-like petals, (hence it's common name crepe myrtle) from mid-summer to late autumn, which contrast beautifully against the dark green leaves. Once the leaves fall in the autumn you have the added bonus of attractive peeling bark for the winter garden. Perfect for pots or for the front of the border.

  • Garden care: Plant it in a sunny, sheltered spot, ideally with the protection of a south-facing wall, although it is said to tolerate temperatures as low as -15ºC. If necessary prune in spring. Apply a generous 5-7cm mulch of well-rotted garden compost or manure around the base of the plant in autumn.
