Euonymus japonicus El Dorado ('BR2012') (PBR)
- Position: full sun to partial shade
- Soil: any well-drained soil
- Rate of growth: slow to average growing
- Hardiness:fully hardy
Bushy and upright in habit, this tough new cultivar will make and excellent low hedge. Alternatively pot it up or plant it out where the larger than average, dazzlingly coloured foliage (which emerges lemon-yellow before turning greener), will really make an impact. It's incredibly easy to grow, so perfect for a novice gardener, and will even take the odd stray football in its stride!
- Garden care: Tip prune young plants in mid to late spring to encourage bushy growth and apply a generous 5-7cm (2-3in) mulch of well-rotted garden compost or manure around the base of the plant.
- Harmful if eaten
