A gorgeous large-flowered clematis that was first introduced at Plantarium in 2016. The flowers have a very distinctive colouring, being predominantly a very soft reddish-violet, but with a darker trim and a cluster of golden yellow anthers. These grow up to 12cm across, and appear in two flushes - the first (and most showy) in late spring and early summer, but then again towards the end of the season. It's a cracker! - Garden care: Remove dead and damaged stems before growth begins in early spring, cutting all remaining stems back to where strong buds are visible. Apply a slow-release balanced fertiliser and a mulch of well-rotted garden compost around the base of the plant in early spring.
- Humans: Skin irritant; Pets: Harmful if eaten
